The Gränsfors Small Forest Axe has a larger head and a longer handle than the Wildlife Hatchet and therefore provides more chopping power. However, it is still small enough to fit into a rucksack.

The distinguishing feature of the Gränsfors Hand Hatchet is its short handle relative to the size of its head. It is extremely practical to carry in your rucksack on forest walks, or to keep in the car as it takes up very little space.

Wildlife Hatchet 415

The Gränsfors Wildlife Hatchet is a traditional scouting and camping axe, with the same head as the Hand Hatchet but on a longer handle. This longer handle lends the axe more power, not least when felling trees.

The Gränsfors Hunter’s Axe is specially made for the hunter, and is great for chopping wood and meat. The axe has a rounded ‘flay poll’ for use when skinning an animal.

Scandinavian Forest Axe

The Gränsfors Scandinavian Forest Axe is a more professional axe, ideal for felling larger trees and for limbing a felled tree. The axe is forged to a curved bit, making it suitable for cutting into fresh, resinous wood such as spruce or pine.

Large Splitting Axe

The Gränsfors Large Splitting Axe can be used for splitting all types of firewood. It is forged and ground to a concave, quite thin blade at the bit.

Gransfors Bruks 490

The Gränsfors Double Bit Axe is based on the North American working axes, but has been modified for use in axe throwing. Both edges are identical and the centre of gravity and handle are carefully positioned so that the axe rotates well in flight. The dimensions and design of the axe comply with the rules for axe throwing.

The Double Bit Axe can also be used as a working axe in the forest, although this is rare nowadays. In this case it should be longer, which is why the axe is also available with an 89 cm handle.
The axe is delivered with a sheath.

Large Carving Axe

The Gränsfors Large Carving Axe is used for woodworking and shaping wood. The axe has been developed in collaboration with master craftsmen Wille Sundqvist and Onni Linnanheimo, with inspiration from old designs.
