Gränsfors Bruks Axes

Gränsfors Bruks has committed over 100 years to manufacturing and developing axes. Every axe is specifically designed to meet a particular function, with a tireless focus on high quality and area of use. A considerable amount of effort has also been put into producing axes with sound green credentials, avoiding any unnecessary consumption of natural resources.

Gränsfors Bruks axes are divided into five different categories, based on their specific areas of use. The five categories are: Forest Axes, Splitting Axes, Log-building and Carpentry Tools, Double Bit Axes and Ancient Axes.

Availability of axes can vary depending on time of year so feel free to call us at 724-962-4561 or email parts@kerola.com to check current inventory and prices. Images used in photos are stock images and as such crafters initials may vary as well as the color of the wooden handle.

Gränsfors Double Bit Axe

Gransfors Bruks 490

The Gränsfors Double Bit Axe is based on the North American working axes, but has been modified for use in axe throwing. Both edges are identical and the centre of gravity and handle are carefully positioned so that the axe rotates well in flight. The dimensions and design of the axe comply with the rules for axe throwing.

The Double Bit Axe can also be used as a working axe in the forest, although this is rare nowadays. In this case it should be longer, which is why the axe is also available with an 89 cm handle.
The axe is delivered with a sheath.
